I always thought they were the same becuase i remember that i could take my trumpet music and play them on my piano. I also saw that the piano and guitar are in different keys or whatever you call them then the trumpet. I looked at the transpose chart for what notes on the trumpet and the piano and guitar would be on the alto sax, so that might help me out a little. I also play the baritone, but in the treble cleff.
